Chanel Iman. A young African Amercian/Korean stunning model.
Appeared on the cover of Vogue, Teen Vogue, i-D and Lula.
Confidently walked the runway for Valentino, Marc Jacobs, YSL, Alexander McQueen, D&G, John Paul Gaultier, Stella McCartney, Dior, Gucci...
Basically ALOT of legendary designers.
When she went to Milan, Ford Models told her not to be too optimisic, she may only book one or two shows because of her colour.
Nevertheless, her endless legs and charming smile booked her EIGHTEEN shows in Milan!
She said in her interview in Teen Vogue (Feb 2008) that she dreamt of being a model when she was a young girl.
Her mother encouraged her to do basketball, because of her height, and hopefully get a scholarship in it.
It was unlikely for a girl to be so popular and demanded to walk the runway for numerous names, even though she had not done any campaigns or editorials.
Her versatility, style, beauty and uniqueness to the fashion industry makes her my favourite model.
