The other day I watched Spun. It's been on my movie list for some time and I decided to watch it because I keep on waking up at 9 or 8 in the morning (still in Thailand time) and all my friends are definitely asleep. So instead of trying to fall back asleep or wait until they are awake. I have extra "Kara Time" hours.
Possibly my favourite cast; Brittany Murphy, Mickey Rourke, Jason Schwartzman, John Leguizamo, Mena Suvari.
It still saddens me on how Brittany Murphy unexpectedly died and will always be
one of my favourite actresses.
In Spun her clothes were to literally die for. I wanted to grab them off of her through
the screen.
She wore ripped and cut t-shirts, hotpant denim shorts, skyscraper heels, crazy and
floral prints, cute girly hair plaits and basically just looked dirty and unwashed throughout the film.
AANNDD! John Leguizamo who played Spider Mike who IMDb calls "Fast-talking and feisty-looking" is the becoming the coolest actor in my list. He also played Tybalt in Romeo + Juilet (1996) - another brilliant film.
Haha, and Josh from Drake and Josh has a tiny role in the film. Hilarious.
The talented director is Jonas Åkerlund also directed my favourite music video Lady Gaga and Beyonce - Telephone and Paparazzi!
He makes the film so entertaining and trippy with the fast motion, cartoon snips that makes the audience feel like they too are under control of the drugs.
