strike match light fire, who's that girl called Maya.

M.I.A aka Maya.

One of my favourite artist.

She adds creativity into her songs and her style.

Known for her outspoken lyrics and her bamboo banging beatzz.

It easy to tell that she is influence by her Sri Lankan roots; phrases sung in her language, strong beliefs in war and poverty and the foot tapping tribal drum beats.

Her second album Kala is in the top 5 of the greatest album I have ever laid my hands on. Hit after hit after hit.

Songs you can sing to, songs you can relax to and songs you can dance to.

I haven't brought her new album yet, /\/\ /\ Y /\ (Maya), but I will do very soon. Even though I haven't heard all of the songs I can tell it will be another success.

Her single, on /\/\ /\ Y /\, "XXXO" feat. Jay-Z was a tuuneee the first time I heard it. Catchy lines like "cos you been tweeting me like tweety bird" and "you want me be, somebody who I'm really not".

"Born Free", at first I wasn't too keen on the song to be honest. Maybe I wasn't open minded to loud heavy rock sounds from her, I think I was too used her "other" genre. But the second time I listened to it, WOW, it was over powering! The song was a head banging, fist pumping, boycott of living by the rules!

Well, I guess I have done a pretty good job on reviewing a fantastic artist. And fingers crossed I might have convinced someone out their to listen to her incredible "musak"!

Prepared for Winter

Never before have I looked forward to winter. I have always wished that summer would last forever.

On the other hand, seeing the designers A/W 2010 and the new trends; fashion defends the fact that winter should not be a hated season.

A main reason why I wished winter was something that only happened in the north pole was because whenever I had a new stunning outfit, I would have to cover it up with a huge boring grey coat so I don't freeze to death!

Flicking through pages of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Grazia. I noticed that I could be warm and trendy.

Pour example: Camel Coat

Camel. Doesn't sound very attractive, sort of reminds me of dusty, unsightly creature that strolls in a desert. However, the colour is an complete opposite of my first opinion. Chloé's choice of colour for this coat shows a sophisticated and adult look.

So much nicer than beige!

                                                                    Manly Men
Loewe

Boyfriend jeans, boyfriend shirts, boyfriend cardigans.
How about boyfriend coats? Actually men coats to be exact.
Hermès
LOVELOVELOVE!!

It shows masculinity in such a fashionable and still feminine way.

Aviator

Burberry Prorsum
This has to be my favourite type of outwear. Not only does it show military though rocker, it reminds me of pilots flying a jet plane over the cold breeze with their goggles on.

Burberry Prorsum
The other day I was reading Harper's Bazaar I gasped and nearly drooled over collections of aviator jackets. My mum looked over my shoulder and said casually, "Oh, I think we have one of those at home."

Burberry Prorsum
As soon as I got home I went hunting for this jacket.
Finally I found it hanging up pleading 'Wear me! Wear me! I've only been worn once!'
Instantly I tried on the oversized outwear hoping that it fitted me.
I looked into the mirror... no matter what size it was; it looked gorgeous.
I screamed with joy jumping up and down. So relieved that I didn't have buy a new one because my purse would have cried!

Yep! That's me, Kara
